When I was in elementary school we went to the local theater for a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration. As we walked in the door my friend was told that he had to go sit in the mezzanine. After we got settled they told us that it was just to show us how bad segregation was. Then they let us sit where we wanted, but by then it was too late to find my friend in the dark theater.
