Spent a while at my local Apple Store getting my daughter’s iPhone replaced under AppleCare. While waiting I suggested she try the VisionPro demo to pass the time. After the tech asked around it turns out the demo needs to be reconfigured due to a mismatch in the visionOS version and the iPadOS version of the attached iPad. The implication was I was the first person to ask for a demo since visionOS 26 was released…three weeks ago.

Anyone ever see this? At 12:46pm today I realized my watch had registered zero activity all day. I’d been up since 6:15am. A reboot didn’t recover anything, but at least it started counting. I’m a habitual ring-closer so this had me scared!

While smoothly editing a 4K 120fps video on my MacBook Air, I remembered using a $4500(?) Radius VideoVision Studio and special “AV” hard drive for my Mac IIci to edit 640x480 30fps. Computers are fun!

I just realized the Image Capture icon, at least in Tahoe, is a photo of the Apple Campus rainbow. Are any other Apple app icons photographs?

My parents have an AirTag-equipped Apple TV remote. They called me tonight, saying they moved the remote but don’t remember to which room. I had them launch Find My, on their old (pre-U1 chip) iPhone XR. They made the AirTag beep. I could hear the beep over FaceTime. Eventually they heard it. After AN HOUR of searching we decided I’m visiting Saturday and will find it then. On the bright side they now know how to use the Remote function on iOS’s Control Center. #FamilyTechSupport
