Need help finding a board for myself. - Lemmy.World

Hello. I’m searching for a TKL board with media keys, volume wheel, and brown switches. I just can’t do linears. Just don’t feel right. I’ve browsed around, both on amazon and in microcenter and everything seems to be linear switches nowadays and even when I find one with browns, they rarely have the media keys I need. I’m also not trying to pay $100+ for a keyboard. Spent way too much money on boards of that price for them to keel over and die as quick as the china fodder on amazon. (For example the K70 mk.2 that I have that refuses to not go bonkers whenever it feels like it.) Thanks to anyone that can offer some help finding me something.

Color wash in client. - Lemmy.World

Getting a lot of color wash when watching videos in the client. End up having to drop the resolution really low to make it behave. Are there any ways to make it stop doing this?

Legit commercial site? - Lemmy.World

I’ve ran across a couple, but would like to ask people here if you have any recommendations for good websites that host/sell files for full commercial use?

What modern solutions are there similar to dyndns? - Lemmy.World

Hi, started self hosting quite a few things and would like a domain to use for when I’m out and about instead of having to remember what my IP is currently. What are the newest providers of services that can accomplish this?

Rhythmbox Podcast syncing? - Lemmy.World

Ok, so what I would really like to do is sync the podcasts I have on my PC to my Android phone, BUT I’d also like to sync what episode and how far I am into the episode I am. Is this even possible?

Am I crazy? - Lemmy.world

So, like how it works on other sites, when using the inline media viewer, it will mark the post as read. That way the link changes color and I know that I’ve viewed it. Is this how it works on the fediverse? I’ve made a couple of posts about it and posted to the git and I might get one or two people that say “That’s weird” or whatever. However, no one has ever said which way it’s supposed to work. Both Kbin and Lemmy work this way for me. So, am I taking crazy pills and it shouldn’t be doing that, or am I experiencing a cross platform, cross browser bug?

Links not changing color after using inline media viewer.

Better file managers? - Lemmy.world

Hi, I’ve been using Linux on and off for 20ish years, finally made the switch, and the one thing that has always driven me nuts is the file managers. As an example, when I attach images to posts on websites, I get a nice window to popup to choose which file I want. This popup is ass. It only gives me a tiny preview of the file (images) that I have currently selected. There’s no way to change views to thumbnails, right click and open in an image viewer to double check that I am uploading the correct file, none of it. I have to navigate to the folder in another window and double check filenames if there is no preview. (This is getting more common because of webp images.) I have a host of other complaints about the file manager on here and most I’ve come across, but this is the most annoying issue for me. I am on Ubuntu Cinnamon at the moment.
