This week: Michael Eyal Sharon!

Michael is currently the co-founder and CEO at Taika, making beverages that fuel creativity. Previously, he was Facebook's first mobile product hire.

I was really excited to dig into Michael's path a bit, from South Africa, to NYU, to Facebook, to starting a CPG company with the aim of augmenting people's creativity.

Circuit – Time to go

We need more high-quality tools and utilities that people can use in flexible ways.

These tools should be configured and used in deterministic ways that builds muscle memory and makes them an extension of your brain, not an impediment to it.

In digital design, we did this short-sighted thing where 'settings are bad'; therefore, we had to get every single decision right — which we don't.

Now, our products are limiting the ways you customize and use them. And we did the same with the information we pushed into them.

This week: the inimitable @danrubin. Topics were: his path towards design, how he found his way onto the internet and always gravitates towards writing and teaching to clarify his thinking.
