Over the last few years, we've been working on a machine learning project to identify which viruses can infect mammals, and then zoom in on those that can infect human.

The results are now out: https://www.cell.com/patterns/fulltext/S2666-3899(23)00078-8

In the process, we've also updated global maps of viral diversity, showing more undiscovered interactions in the Amazon, and more undiscovered zoonotic hosts in Africa.
