“Unlocking Home Affordability through Car-Free Living”

We don’t talk enough about the link between car dependency and housing affordability. Here’s a good case study from Atlanta https://www.southernurbanism.org/p/mobility-unlocking-home-affordability

@Savvyhomestead Also, Biden's accomplishments are largely due to political pressure. But he will probably lose because he has turned off significant groups that (barely) put him across the finish line in 2020. Kiss Muslim Americans goodbye. Young voter turnout will be dampened by failed promises on student loans. Most importantly wages have not kept up with inflation. Independent voters generally vote based on their own personal economic situations.
@Savvyhomestead Pretending polls aren't real is wishful thinking. Why are you wedded to a candidate who will probably lose to Trump?

Urban design, Roman style.
#Pompeii in the year 79.

Walkable streets, mixed-use, street-facing shops, gentle density. Notice that Roman urbanism two millennia ago produces a more livable city than almost any car-centered developments we’re churning out in the Americas today. 🧵

@Eka_FOOF_A @finley @Teri_Kanefield That contradicts all the facts I've heard. Do you have any evidence you can link to?
@Anibyl @sam Just like I know that what many US citizens believe about the US is false, I do not accept anything about a country just because someone who lives there believes it. We all have our biases. The "I live here" card has no more validity than it does for MAGA Q-anon nuts who think they really know what's going on in the US. Not that I think you're that crazy. But your arguments need to stand on their own. Anyway, have a good day.
@Anibyl @sam The protests started as genuine grassroots but were quickly commandeered by neo-Nazis. The coup was a collaboration between neo-Nazis, a faction of Ukrainian oligarchs, and the US State Dept.
