Ironbound in Newark NJ, much Portuguese, such cosy.

For the Americans reading who think that headlines cannot get more car friendly/car apologetic than in the US, I present to you the average totally serious headline in swiss news articles:
"""
Downtown Lausanne
A pedestrian passes away after having been stuck under a construction vehicle
"""
Yes what a tragic unavoidable accident, you know how we always end up getting stuck under gosh darn construction vehicles, this definitely had nothing to do with the construction site being unprotected or the vehicle's driver having had anything to do with it what so ever, I'm sure 85 year olds always go looking under construction vehicles and end up getting stuck. How inconvenient of them.

The way this is written is absolutely disgusting, I have yet to see a single news agency in Switzerland talk about the many pedestrians that are murdered by inattentive drivers in any way other than this crazy hyper passive voice (which in French is even more crazy given that it's a grammatical form that's typically never used in regular speech) that completely fails to even mention that there was a driver involved or that the vehicle was even moving, absolutely disgusting. It's always like "those darn pedestrians always passing away on and/or under these glorious independent vehicles"...
