My daughter requested a built in dresser/bookshelf/vanity unit to fit in an empty nook in their new primary bedroom. She provided a Pinterest photo with the comment “with shelves, not doors above, and with the counter lower in the center.” Oh, and with some shelves deep and tall enough for LP records.

We shared some whiteboard ideas, and settled on the second photo.

I used kitchen base cabinets for the lower drawers, bought at a hardware store. The shelves are 3/4 plywood and 1 x 2 facing. Countertop is 1.5” x 25” butcher block slabs.

Finished the final pieces today, and she’s starting to place things in it.

Her husband says “It feels like a home now” 🥹
