I've taken my first step toward Legions Imperialis by rebasing my Aeronautica flyers on the new Legions bases. I kinda like that the bases are textured, but they don't suit the look I've got going with my 8mm stuff, so I stuck on some ballast.

I may not have any ground forces, but I do have Titans and air support!

With that, Turn 4 and the game came to an end. With the vital cargo lost to the enemy and Legio Venefica in possession of two table quarters, the traitors win 6-0 on victory points.

The game was close and very, very entertaining, with Titans and Knights falling over and exploding and buildings collapsing. I really can't stress enough how good Titanicus is. I'm already looking forward to playing again, and have lots of ideas for what to build next.

While all this was happening, one of the Crucius Warhounds was making a run for the traitor table edge. The Regnum transiit a te was in hot pursuit, but couldn't stop the enemy.

The Dire Wolf In Tenebris, realizing this must be the enemy Titan carrying the cargo, dashed in to stop it. When the neutron laser and Ardex bolters failed to halt the enemy, the Princeps of the In Tenebris steered her Titan right into the Warhound for a smash attack. The Crucius Warhound exploded!

Turn 4: carnage.

The surviving Venefica Reaver, the Non Adoramus, charges the damaged Crucius Warbringer and brings it down with its chain fist. The dying Warbringer spins around, shoots at the Cerastus Knights, and falls onto the Non Adoramus, damaging it.

The Cerastus Knights charge the Crucius Reaver, and their shock lance attacks knock it down, sending it sprawling over the wreck of the Abominatio Desolationis.

With the Abominatio Desolationis already staggering under loyalist fire, the Crucius Warhound on the left opened up with its plasma blastgun, scoring a hit on the Venefica Reaver's body.

As it happened, we had rolled for Legion Princeps traits, and I got Beyond Death.

So, as the Abominatio Desolationis received its deathblow, Princeps Seniores Modthryth steered the collapsing Titan right at the enemy, where it exploded spectacularly, destroying the last Questoris and damaging the enemy Titans.

Turn 3 begins. My Dire Wolf hides behind a building to try to restore its shields and vent plasma before the reactor explodes, while an enemy Warhound dashes for my table edge.

The Warlord blows holes into my Princeps Seniores's Reaver Abominatio Desolationis, and almost wipes out the Questoris Knights with a volcano cannon blast. The last remaining Questoris darts behind the enemy Reaver and disables its weapons. My other Reaver takes heavy fire and leg damage from the Crucius Warbringer.

The loyalist Warlord hid in the corner of the table, so I set up my Dire Wolf to draw a bead on it. Turn 1 mostly saw our forces moving forward, and the Warlord and Dire Wolf exchanging fire to no effect.

On the second turn, everyone else congregated in the middle of the battlefield, exchanging fire and dropping void shields. I sent my Cerastus Lancers on a wide flanking move around the right. The Dire Wolf actually managed to shut down the Warlord when I rolled a 6!

My opponent brought a Legio Crucius Precept Maniple of a Warlord, Warbringer, Reaver and two Warhounds. I had my Legio Venefica Ferrox Maniple, with two Reavers equipped for close-in work, two Warhounds, a Dire Wolf with a neutron laser, and some Questoris Knights and Cerastus Lancers in support.

We rolled for Meeting Engagement objectives: I picked Glory and Honour, so I'd have to bring down his Warlord. Aaro picked Vital Cargo, so one of his Titans would need to cross my table edge with it.

I had a fantastic game of #AdeptusTitanicus with @AaroSahari yesterday! We played a Meeting Engagement on the regulation 4'×4' table, 1665 point forces (that was how much he brought), and it was a great time. Knights were wiped out, reactors overloaded, buildings collapsed, Titans blew up and fell over onto each other. Titanicus is an awesome game.
How well is our Dark Heresy campaign going? One of my players made a whole conspiracy board, like in the meme, complete with pins and red string and everything.
