@palvaro I had a similar experience at Phil and Friends about a month ago.
@lucian I forgot to mention, keycap material also makes a very big difference. ABS plastic feels better, but it wears down and shines over time. PBT doesn't wear down in the same way, but there's a lot of low quality PBT caps that feel like sandpaper.
@lucian custom keycaps from manufacturers like GMK and SP are dramatically better than most keycaps included in the box.

Once I adapted to a 40% layout, I never felt the need for a number row.
