Are there any legitimate "brain training" apps/games/etc.?
I see so many of them around today but I am always skeptical of the scientific validity of them. I’m happy to pay a reasonable amount and I greatly value privacy. Main thing for me would be trying to improve memory. Any recommendations are appreciated! If I need to go out and buy a DS and a copy of Brain Age, so be it.
How do you find motivation when it's not there?
Whether it be to do your job, get your schoolwork done, clean your house, work on your creative passion, etc. Bonus points if you’re someone without reasonable self-control so saying something like “I can only have a cookie after I do this/while I do this” doesn’t work for you and you’re just going to eat the cookie and not do it.
Downloading Youtube videos with DRM
Doing some research on things that I will absolutely never do. Let’s say a nefarious party wanted to download a video from Youtube, say, an episode of the TV show Community. The downloaders I have researched for Linux (Youtube Downloader Plus + Parabolic) will not let me download any episodes that have DRM. Are there any that DO let you do so, preferably while removing the DRM so it could be used on Jellyfish or Plex?
News outlets you like in Pittsburgh?
Hey all, Just curious - what are the news outlets you like? Obviously not thinking about the paper being struck right now. Is there much of a difference in quality/trustworthiness of the TV news stations? Otherwise, I’ve been checking our PublicSource and Pittsburgh Union Progress.

Does Costco have Morningstar Farms products where you live?
Hi all. My partner saw online about Costco having big packs of Morningstar Farms Chik Patties/Grillers/etc. but we haven’t been able to find it at our local Costco in Pittsburgh. Wondering if this a regional thing or if it might be an equivalent to Aldi’s “Special Finds”? Any input would be appreciated!
Realtor recommendations in the city?
Hey y’all, allow me to be the first to do an “asking for advice” post on here. Anyone have recommendations for realtors that are based in/specifically focus on the City of Pittsburgh? I feel like I’ve seen way too many who are like “Pittsburgh Realtor!!! Based in Cranberry Township (or other far out suburb/exurb)” and that I want to avoid that hassle. We have to live inside the city limits due to my partner’s job with the city (and honestly, we’d probably be living in the city anyways). Looking primarily at neighborhoods in the South Side with good public transit options. Any advice is appreciated!
