So, when will economists wake up? The fact we (frogs) are all in a slowly warming pot soon to be boiled on the fire of vertical power patrimony, well, the economy will not work well. Just look at the patrimonies of Putin-Russia, Orban-Hungary, Erdogan-Turkey, and now Trump-America... turn down the fire before it is too late. Or, at least get out of the pot...

All the ruthless tariff setting is just smoke and mirrors for the real agenda: Assault the competent Agencies and attack modern government, and fund what remains (run by loyalists, competence optional) with tariff tax paid by the low and middle-income people while the wealth is further concentrated at the top. Robber Barons worshiping at the foot of Mount McKinley --- could bring that golden toilet from Mar a Lago to dance around it while the Tariff Tablets are brought down by "the Don".

More Musk arrogance, as in supposedly knowing all about how Government works: "Don't want America to go Bankrupt." Well, a country cannot go bankrupt, MetaEcon 101 here. Musk apparently never got the memo that a Government is not a Business. Why is someone who has no clue about what a Government is and does put in a role to pull out the profitable parts (like privatize the FAA, NWS, and USPS), and, then, I guess, just sell off the rest of it to the highest bidder, like in a fire sale? MATA.

It appears more every day that The Rule of Law (the Constitution in the foundation also ignored) is being replaced by The Rule of Men, the "pater" in charge, a Regime change, moving to a Patrimonial System of Government, back to the 1500s. It needs to be stopped, and Congress in consort with the Courts not only have the power to do so but now need to exercise that power.
