Starting this new year, I can’t help but feel grateful. In a world that always pushes us to want more, taking a moment to appreciate having everything I need feels especially meaningful. https://mertbulan.com/2026/01/01/about-being-grateful/
About Being Grateful – Mert Bulan

Reflecting on the importance of gratitude in a world driven by consumerism.

Franzbrötchen v1.2 is ready! Christmas markets, weekly markets, stumbling stones, iMessage Sticker and more! https://apps.apple.com/de/app/franzbrötchen/id6753984831

This was my best app launch yet, over 1.000 downloads in Germany! I really wish Apple provided a city-level breakdown so I could see how many came from Hamburg.

My guess is that Hamburg has around 500.000 iPhone users, so there’s still a long way to go. :)

Title: 21 Beautiful Christmas Markets in Hamburg
1st Place: A wine shop that serves Glühwein

This is why I built Franzbrötchen, there are ads everywhere, and it's too hard to find the information you actually need.

Custom Product Pages are perfect for Franzbrötchen, but I wish Apple would allow you to add keywords for each custom page instead of limiting you to picking from the existing keyword pool.
I wasn't really expecting my app to become more popular than Bible. 😅

Happy to announce my new app: Franzbrötchen – Hamburg City Super-App.

A first of its kind, the app lets Hamburg locals effortlessly explore their city, get involved, and make everyday life easier.

Over three years ago, I had an idea for an app but knew little about iOS development. Since then, I've released 9 apps while gathering resources and refining the concept. In the past few months, I've spent 100+ hours building it and just submitted it to the App Store. And the best part? It's free.

It's really annoying! I suppose there's no engineer at Apple who uses Xcode and listens to music at the same time.
