Looking forward to another thought provoking year at #LABScon24! Hats off to SentinelOne and the entire organizing and sponsoring team for bringing together a vibrant slice of the threat intelligence community three years running.

This year’s fantastic lineup includes Max Smeets, Kim Zetter, MJ Emanuel, Dakota Cary, Silas Cutler, Kristin Del Rosso, Tom Hegel, Gabriel Bernadett-Shapiro, and Juan Andres Guerrero Saade (the man and the myth behind #LABScon24).

And a special shoutout to Martin Wendiggensen - a Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) PhD student with the Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies - on his second time taking to the LABScon stage.

Nothing says I work in tech more than a pile a hoodies. What will year three bring?

Today marks the official dedication of our new home: Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue. I continue to be inspired by my colleagues and students at the @alperovitch Institute, SAIS, and the broader JHU community. A privilege and a joy to work with you all.
Academic life, @alperovitch institute style: when even your office lamps are books. Slowly but surely migrating all my books into SAIS’s new home at 555 Penn. Stop by and say hello if you haven’t already.
Back in DC after a fantastic time at LABScon. Special shout out to my @alperovitch Institute colleagues who took to the stage this year.
Stopping to take in the local scenery on our way to LABScon yesterday. It was lovely catching up with everyone last night over dinner and drinks here in Arizona. Looking forward to today’s talks and sidebars.
Taking a moment to pause and enjoy the view amidst a day of semiconductor and cybersecurity course prep and research. It feels good to be back in the neighborhood and I very much look forward to welcoming SAIS students to our new home next week.
Looking forward to kicking off classes at SAIS later this month at JHU’s new DC home. Beautiful building, innovative educational spaces, excellent location, and, of course, a world class community. Feeling grateful for and excited to finish settling in as we add the finishing touches at 555 Penn.
Grading away at the Institute accompanied by some of my favorite opera albums. Teaching at Johns Hopkins SAIS continues to be a wonderful reminder of how many excellent students, from technical and non-technical backgrounds alike, will be entering the cyber work force in years to come.
