I didn't quite meet my word count goal, but I am entirely satisfied with this #AcWriMo! In the past I've tapped out after hitting a dry spell, but it's been nice to track it the whole month and put both the good days and the bad days in context.

Intro to #DigitalHumanities as #StLouis #LocalHistory is a go! I spent a good chunk of my weekend finalizing the syllabus. Here’s my favorite week: “Speaking of rivers: digital storytelling at the American Confluence”

In 1395, dozens of Irish lords submitted to Richard II - a brief pause in an extended series of conflicts between the shrinking English colony and resurgent Gaelic lordships. The submission documents, which detail witnesses, interpreters, fines, and more, offer a glimpse of the informal, transnational networks that shaped 14-15th c. Ireland.

If you'll be at #NACBS this week, come hear more! If not, watch for updates very soon!

Currently trying to convey to a general #DigitalHumanities audience what it's like to clean and encode medieval Irish data.

If you're working at the intersection of tech and education, consider submitting a proposal to the upcoming panel on Emerging Technologies and the Future of Education, sponsored by the International Journal of Emerging and Disruptive Innovation in Education. Presenters will also be invited to submit their paper for publication in a special issue of IJEDIE.

It would be great to see lots of #DigitalHumanities projects represented here!

Since we’ve got a slightly different #DigitalHumanities community on here, I’ll re-up our upcoming Morning Bytes session on StoryMapJS. If you’re interested in #DigitalStorytelling for research, teaching, and community collaborations, join us on zoom or in person for a hands-on workshop!
