So, the plastic barrel just kept floating away. The barrel will probably wash ashore, or bump into someone’s houseboat, or it will sink to the bottom of Portage Bay.
Yesterday, I saw a large plastic barrel floating just off shore in Portage Bay. It was heading out, further away from shore. I tried to let Seattle Harbor Patrol know but that proved impossible. If you call Seattle Harbor Patrol, it either reroutes you to the main non-emergency SPD number and an endless menu and long wait to speak to someone or directly to Harbor Patrol where it promptly disconnects the call.
I just attempted to walk Levi the dog. We made it about 8 feet and looked at each other and turned around. Everything is covered with a layer of smooth ice. The world is without traction.
Levi, the 12 year old mutt, had a midnight adventure tonight when he surprised a raccoon on our front doorstep, ran down a steep, icy flight of stairs & chased the raccoon up a tree. No raccoons, mutts, or people were harmed during the ensuing chaos. I am wide awake after waking from sleep to run out into the frozen night in my bathrobe. Everyone else in the house is snoozing happily. The raccoons were last spotted making themselves comfortable up in the trees.
Little muddy paw prints on fresh concrete. Doesn’t look like cat or raccoon, but I have no real idea. I wonder if the local coyote wandered through.
Some little critter was doing QA testing on the concrete slab.
Why am I always so excited to take a photo of snow on the dog?
I watched The Bodyguard last weekend with my in-laws. My nieces had so many questions, but mostly they asked “What does she see in that guy? “ I think it is on Netflix until Nov. 30th.
