My favorite hyper-specific genre of tech journalism is the "CEO says his new product will completely change the world by end of year"-headline.
Not only are these predictions always hilariously wrong, they also get regurgitated by most outlets with barely any criticism or discussion. Once you hit a certain net worth, you can just say random stuff out loud and people will believe you because you're rich! What a beautiful meritocracy we live in.
if I was writing the specification for a standard meant to document knowledge unambiguously, I would simply choose not to make my examples something as complex and ambiguous as gender and human relationships
computer science people seriously need to find another example for boolean values/XOR connections/disjoint classes/whatever than binary gender, this is so embarrassing
