Over the last few days, I finally removed the last third-party embed from my website: Vimeo embeds. I now host all videos locally on my own server, in 3 different resolutions (480p, 720p and 1080p) with the AV1 codec (and a h.264 fallback for older devices). This adds 12 GB to my website folder, but luckily I can just add more webspace to my Uberspace account.

Today, I repaired an old Agfa Optima 200 Sensor camera from 1968, thanks to a random user on Flickr who documented the whole disassembly process, so I could find out what was wrong. The best part about this camera: the exposure meter is a Selenium cell sensor, so no battery is needed. Let's see if the exposure is still in the right ballpark.

I don't use Spotify, but because everybody is posting their Year in Review, here are some live concerts I've seen this year: Zu, Bohren und der Club of Gore, Smote, Miira, CocoRosie, Knower, Nyos (like every year) and Monika Roscher Bigband. Not as many as last year, but there are some days left in december.
