I’ve noticed a lot of people are 3 types of parents rolled in one:
They parent they are when (they think) no one is watching.
The parent they are when they are around friends or family members.
And the parent they are when strangers are about. (Or when they are dealing with other peoples’ kids.)
I can’t help but wonder how much better the world would be if more of them operated primarily as the latter, especially where their own kids are concerned.

They irk me when they move my tea tumbler (though it’s Place often requires that) and I wish I could do that cartoon eye twitch when I see they’ve washed it. (I have my reasons - and I keep it as clean as it needs to be. 😤)
Showed up to a photography gig in my flip flops. 💀
This is what I get for being in a hurry, and only wearing sneakers for (too rare) special occasions. 😩😂
As someone who embarrasses easily, this kind of 💩 is mortifying. 🤣💀
But it does give me an excuse to practice being social again. Heh.
Sometimes, the need for emotional support background noise is treacherous. 👀
I got ‘smart’ n ordered some open earbuds. They’ve mostly been great, but every once in a while, their touch activation will bite me in the 🍑.
Like at 5am, when putting on my shower cap amounted to me ‘butt’ dialing a homie. (Luckily he’s team DND!)
Or 2 months ago, when I ended up calling my old bestie not once but twice. (Earbuds, then in my Recents list - too close to my neighbor whose name also starts with P.)
Great-niece isn’t feeling well and her mom is wrapping up the other g-niece’s birthday party.
She’s such a momma’s girl, so I’m playing Pillow.
Love muh kids to death, but this kind of 💩 low key drives me bananas.
I don’t much like being cuddly, and if I’m gonna be sitting still for this length of time, I’m supposed to be working on my computer, not watching cartoons. 😩😂
Also had a neat post written up about playing “guess-the-language” at my local grocer but 🤷♀️ IceCubes crashed. 😒
