Ok, it’s not quite a mastodon… (Queen’s MS 139 for an enquiry)
Laud's Book of Common Prayer (Edinburgh, 1637) from Queen's College Upper Library. Most copies had the 'Godley prayers' removed, on Charles I's orders, but not this copy (which was given to Queen's by Charles' chaplain-in-ordinary). The famous copy is the one in the BL, with Charles' MS notes. #BookHistory #history #scotland
