Been trying for months to figure out how to stop my neighbor's windows from melting my house and it has come to my attention there are nine-foot-tall inflatable lawn dragons that would look AMAZING peering out from that side of the house for Halloween that might just become permanent

Being a writer is a hell of a lot closer to a service industry job than a white collar job, especially for the constant ration of sh*t you take from stranger who don't respect the industry you're in despite making use of its services every f*cking day.
Seeing all the "writers don't deserve a living wage" still happening and I just blurted out to myself "ENTERTAINING PEOPLE IS IN FACT A SERVICE" and I feel like I need to put that on a coffee mug or something.
I think every author could enjoy running a TTRPG because sneaking in an NPC with a familiar surname for players you've GMed for long-term means you get the instant gratification version of an easter egg in a book.
Watson is afraid of the rain, so his morning ablutions in this weather are generally miserable, but today we learned that the only thing that makes him forget he's being rained on is seeing a rabbit he will then spend ten minutes trying to capture in the back yard (the rabbit was already across the street, but Watson the Mighty Hunter didn't know that.)
