Met some dude at the mixer last week that works at a BSL3 lab.
He says his sister got a parasite from bad sushi before.
He told her to go to the public health lab and not the hospital because the hospital isn't going to do it right.
She doesn't listen to him and goes to the hospital.
After 1 week, they haven't identified the parasite because they took too long: it died in the sample.
So they need to re-extract.
She later goes to the public health lab, got her results in 3 business days, and got cleared of the parasite.
Guy says he doesn't recommend working for a hospital, that the way they are is because they need to please shareholders.
