Suns out, cookbooks out?
Also I am really annoyed at myself for filling up the bookcase I bought for my cookbook collection so damn quickly. But also not, because cookbooks are awesome and the thrill of the chase is fun.

In case you were wondering what I did with my teacher time off: mostly I give the pets the attention I can’t give them the rest of the time and I cook the food I don’t have the energy to cook the rest of time. Yesterday I dug the Thanksgiving turkey carcass out of the freezer and today it’s turkey noodle soup.
As much as I enjoy honoring my ancestors by cooking recipes the way they probably did, that was a lot of work. :/

Today’s bread making experiment is Crusty Sandwich Rolls. I have been doing hybrid recipes where you start them in the bread machine and bake in the oven - the bread machine is easier to get out than my stand mixer.
