Yes, it’s the most confusing part, if you want to discover Pixelfed accounts from other servers, you have to go to another server’s home page, then click on “Explore” which will show you popular posts by that server’s users.

The web version of Pixelfed does have a “Global Feed” page but that’s 99% Mastodon posts because the “Global Feed” is actually global relative to the whole Fediverse.

I agree, F5 would have been better since it is the standard on Linux and Windows. The only reason why I found out is because I’m used to do cmd+R on Mac (I use Mac at work so I got familiar with it).

Lemmy is not in any way the safe haven it has been marketed as.

Marketed? Lemmy is not a company and there is no marketing department. Generally, what you know about Lemmy is word of mouth from people who used it before you. Not the result of a marketing planning meeting.

With the recent major update, Freetube implemented a new player which I like much better than the old one. With the new player, all keyboard shortcuts work well, that’s great because my Home Theatre PC is controlled by a wireless keyboard+touchpad.
In Freetube, reload is ctrl-R on Linux and Windows, and cmd-R on Mac. I have experienced the fact that if you leave a video paused for a long time (hours) then you need to refresh. If you have history active, after refreshing the video will resume from where you left, which by the way is better then actual YouTube where it will often resume from an earlier timestamp. I have not experienced the other issues you mentioned.
I will buy you a metric ton of milk jugs if you make the switch
I have started to actively avoid brands, journalists etc. who still use Twitter as their primary social media presence.
One important thing to add is that the refund is offered by Valve, not by Rockstar.

Watch live TV.

In my country (Australia) live TV is ad-infested and most programs are reality TV garbage, so I stay away from it. Freetube + Peertube works for me.
