Air Cleaner Hot Tip. The best bang for the buck air cleaner is the Lorell 420, which if you look around can be had for ~$42. It's discontinued, so make sure you buy a few extra filters at the same time. However at this price it's cheaper per CFM than a CR Box!

Excited to update everyone on OpenRespirator. First step was to build the tools to make a mask. We developed a tool set which allows prototyping in silicone and co-molded plastic for $30 with one time capital cost of $4K, and of course all open-source!
We want to make sure that future mask developers have tools and knowledge to prototype in a more affordable fashion. Knowledge is power.
Thank you Violet for advocating for clean air. It's not always easy to stand up and speak out when so many others want to ignore a problem. @benaffleck sometimes the smallest acts can lead to biggest changes, I hope you can support her efforts.
Seeing discussion about this study looking at total outward leakage of masks worn by infectious people. Some good takeaways but summaries are missing the bigger point –it’s all about fit and filtration and not that it was an N95(but it helps!).
N95’s are better on average because of headband requirement, but just because it’s a N95 doesn’t magically make it fit.
