@PaulaToThePeople to explain. Yes to paying mastodon $1.00 per month is fine provided that this keeps advertising to a minimum and stops mastodon from having to sell our data. No to Twitter because I don’t like the idea that if you pay $8 your posts float up. That means the whole site is nothing but a huge advertising site as best & at worst encourages bad actors to buy the blue tick to push out their message.
