What's happening in Pyongyang tonight? If this satellite image of drills is a clue, a military parade will take place on Feb 8 (2.8) to mark 75 years of the Korea People's Army. Recently, the parades start after midnight (in a few hours) and it's on TV later that day or next.
It was a busy Saturday in Pyongyang for thousands of North Koreans. In Kim Il Sung Square and at the Mirim Parade Training Ground, rehearsals are underway for what appears to be a major upcoming military parade.

38 NorthMun Chol Myong, the first North Korean to ever be extradited to the US, was sentenced today to 45 months time served for money laundering on behalf of the North Korean regime. Mun was arrested in Malaysia and spent two years in jail, then in a DC jail since arriving in the US. The sentence is in line with that requested by the public defender, who was representing him. Mun entered an "Alford plea," in which he maintained innocence but pled guilty. More here:

Mun Chol Myong (Mun), 55, a national of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), was sentenced today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to time served of 45 months’ imprisonment for multiple money laundering offenses.
