Music for Seniors (iOS) — An Accessible Apple Music Player for iPhone

YouTube
Here’s a preview of my app that rethinks Apple Music through the lens of cognitive accessibility, stripping away complexity to create a calm, focused listening experience. Designed to give older adults, people who are less familiar with technology, and individuals with cognitive disabilities greater independence. https://apps.apple.com/app/id6756535570

Music for Seniors is backwards compatible all the way down to iOS 17. So if you’ve passed on your old iPhone to your parents or grandparents (as long as it’s from 2018 or later), the app will work just fine 🤍

I genuinely enjoyed using my app Music for Seniors over the past few weeks. Am I an old soul? Maybe. Either way, a slowed-down UI has clear advantages for a broad audience.
I built a music app for my mom. She’s over 70. The Liquid Glass design aesthetic overwhelms her. iOS’s Assistive Access mode is better, but it comes with heavy limitations. Preserving digital autonomy in old age is important. Now she can listen to music independently again.
@xjki Yes, it’s an accessible music player 😊
@yanlu That’s huge! Congrats 👏
