@jerrigirl The lava flow in the photos also stems from fissures. It’s still happening at around 10k ft elevation, it’s not threatening any communities, and it is expected to be over sooner. The Kīlauea eruption in 2018 wiped out the neighborhood I lived in. However, it’s always very spectacular to observe the power of nature and to be reminded that the only reason we must change course and not further contribute to global warming is to not commit suicide as a species.
