Turned off my Twitter crossposter for now. I'm remaining Mastodon/Fediverse-curious, but I don't have the mental bandwidth for two social apps, and Twitter is not dead yet. So there may not be much from me on this platform for a little while...
Spotify Wrapped is out. Prep listening for the October Death Cab and MCR concerts took over the top spots.
The FAFSA was not bad. The CSS profile was a nightmare. FAFSA basically asks things that you can look up from your 2021 taxes. The CSS profile is worse than doing those taxes, and asks you to estimate things you just can't know yet.
Maybe it’s a function of too much turkey and wine, but playing the Alice’s Restaurant Masacree chord progression loud and with a distortion pedal is now my new favorite Thanksgiving tradition. My family disagrees.
Finally getting around to watching “Good Night Oppy”, and it’s kind of weird to see my office neighbor @[email protected] show up in the cast listing when pausing a movie. I won’t live log the movie, but I’m loving it so far.

The 25th meeting of the @[email protected] science team is complete. And I am exhausted and energized and a lot of other things. The UK team that organized the venue was amazing and being at the @[email protected] was wonderful. I’m ready to sleep for a week now, though.
Now I’m happy to be in London.
The local organizers (huge thank yous to Gareth Collins, Tom Pike, @[email protected] and Natalia Wojcicka for making this meeting happen and happen well) got us hoodies!
