In Silence in Bloom, I present a rose that seems to float in a blue, almost weightless space. I created the image in my studio using carefully arranged objects on glass plates inside an aquarium. This technique allows the scene to detach from gravity — a constructed calm, hovering in suspension.
The rose evokes timeless associations — love, beauty, transience. But beneath the delicate stillness, I introduced black pigment to disturb the harmony. A shadow seeps in, hinting at something impending. The darkness doesn't overwhelm, but it lingers — like a quiet premonition.
For me, this work captures a fragile equilibrium: a moment of bloom held in tension, where serenity and unease drift side by side.
