For starters, I present femininely because that’s just my base model (afab) and I’m quite literally too poor and too busy working to do all of the modifications I want on my body. I also find the convenience of looking cis does help me get through my tougher work days. While I appreciate those who know of my identity using the proper pronouns to refer to me, it stings just a tiny bit every time I get misgendered. I get it. I just ‘don’t look the part.’ It feels like I’m at an impasse but I do want to put in the work to look the way I want to. I just need some time and a good mindset to get things started. I just want my body to feel mine again.
