Follow me and I follow back, unless you're a MAGAT. Truth, science & fellow humans. Never forget Jan. 6. Vaxed & boosted mask wearer. I block reality deniers aka MAGAts. A worrier trying to be a warrior. I love penguins. Not going to pay a billionaire to let me speak. Living in Orlando, FL. Oh and I am woke and won't stop giving a crap about the people the right wants to hurt.

Folks, get off Twitter. I don’t care where you go, be it Bluesky or the Fediverse, but leave Twitter.

Your continued involvement on Twitter supports this.

“At this point, the right-wing justices are goading Congress to step up and make use of their oversight authority. The longer Congress delays holding these justices accountable, the longer our rights remain in the hands of whichever conservative billionaire is offering the best all-expenses-paid vacation package.” - @takebackthecourt’s Sarah Lipton Lubet on the latest scotus scandal.

Barr: “The people on the right are not a threat to democracy. The threat is coming from the progressive side.”

I used to think Clarence Thomas should be impeached.

Now I’m thinking Clarence Thomas should be prosecuted.

anyway guys, we’re just sick about all the layoffs and it’s a really bad time to ask for a raise

But abortion bans are about “pro-life” and attacks on transgender individuals are about “protecting children”, unrelated you say… no, friend, they are about putting the government between you and your doctor, the state deciding what care you may have. They’re about eliminating any privacy in the most personal areas of your life.

These are not conservative, small government initiatives; these are about religious fascism.

You can not have democracy without privacy.

The Society of Professional Journalists takes a stand on Fox:

"No responsible journalist can accept or excuse this behavior."

"It is unprofessional, unethical and potentially harmful for a journalist or news organization to deliberately mislead their audience, no matter the motivation or format."

When asked by @Froomkin, the head of the White House Correspondents Association said, "We're not commenting."

It's disgusting that federal officials and the media are essentially framing our current situation as "sure, #COVID is still one of the leading causes of death, but don't worry, it's only old and immunocompromised people."

Covid is still a leading cause of death as the virus recedes

But many Americans dispute the data and the risks of covid — much as they have throughout the pandemic.
