Trump the the Republicans are, one-by-one, silencing their most vocal critics and dissenters. They started with news media, then they moved to entertainment media, and from there they will move on to corporate social media next. This is state control of media and blatant censorship of criticism. End of story.

I’m not even exaggerating when I say that the Fediverse will be the last bastion of free speech and political criticism on the internet, because the same pressures that Trump and the Republicans can apply to Paramount and Disney, they can also apply to Reddit, Meta, X, and Oracle.
