The one point I will give Supernova is that the cosmic horror of the object is well done. We don’t know what it is, why it does things to people or why they’ll kill for it. Also it can destroy the universe

It wasn’t my home instance but I was always happy to see it in the feed

No telling where we might end up Rebels like you and me Nowhere, anywhere, everywhere, out there Somewhere in between

In America we have a real problem with people claiming emotional support animals as service animals despite those being different things. In some areas it’s to the point that people assume you’re the former and just want to bring your dog everywhere

Supernova (2000) 2/5 - The twist was very obvious pretty early in the plot. The movie also pretty clearly used sex to sell this on blockbuster shelves, but James Spader is hot so whatever

Sentimental Value 4/5 - Wrapping up my best picture backlog. It’s a pretty good emotional story about family communication

Kiki’s Delivery Service 4/5 - In case you’re curious, Kiki’s Delivery Service with English VO and the English subtitles of the Japanese version in IMAX is a suboptimal way to watch the film. Other than that it’s wonderful Ghibli film

Train Dreams 2/5 - It’s slow, long, and not particularly engaging. I’m just not the audience for the languorous types of movies, I’m just glad it was only an hour 45

Wanted 4/5 - I doubt anyone cares why but I have seen this movie over 15 times. It’s really fucking stupid, but it also is mostly aware of how stupid it is. The action is fun and the personalities are big, it’s worth a watch

Hamnet 3.5/5 - I get the whole mysticism mirroring the themes of Hamlet and telling inverted stories to draw comparison and generally what it’s trying to do. It’s good acting and writing, I just wasn’t really compelled

Small Soldiers 2/5 - The plot doesn’t really make any sense and it feels more than a little dated with the jokes. It’s too bad it was the 90s and we couldn’t have a girl lead a movie because Kirsten is 100x more engaging than the boy they got

Kramer vs Kramer 5/5 - Showed up late this at the theater but I was literally the only person seeing it so I got them to restart it for me and I’m glad they did. It’s rare that a movie makes me cry but when Dustin asks Jane Alexander to essentially be a godmother really got me. It feels much longer than 1:45 but I don’t mind because it’s really compelling

Easily
It would be really funny in a Heller-esque way if this gets deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and the people who renounced their citizenship in the meantime were forcefully repatriated until they paid the full bill
I hope Peter Griffin gets his own, he’s the best one!

Oh, you asked for what games, not why. Oops

I think Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country, and the SNES Final Fantasies. Specially 6 would fit the bill

Old video game consoles had dedicated sound chips with a range of tones, sounds, total notes they could play. They simply didn’t have the memory to store music on the cartridge so they would store instructions for the sound chip instead which took far less space. As a result you can learn to recognize the sounds of various machines. From my brief search it appears GB and GBC used functionally the same chip
