It is officially #WearLycraAtWorkDay. Otherwise known as, the day I forgot to bring in my work trousers. 😱😁 #cycling
What is the justification to allow either the driver or motorcyclist to have a driving license again? Is there one?! The risks of driving in the way they did is obvious, yet they chose to do it. Why then allow them back on the roads? #DangerousDriving https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-66452169

It's not often you get a world championship elite road race following part of your cycle commuting route to work. 😁 #Torrance #BalmoreRoad #uciworldchampionships2023
Eek! @BBCScotlandNews why on earth did you base your #HeatPump bashing article today on this guy's opinions?! It's blindly obvious to anyone who has any technical understanding that he either knows nothing about the subject or is incredibly biased. Have a listen though prepare to get angry... 😱 https://youtu.be/w7bpS5Lprb0
Scottish Labour peer gives car crash interview about heat pumps.

@magnatom
He's talking tosh, heat pumps work at much lower than - 5C in Nordic countries

Even in winter, a heat pump operating at 300%efficiency is going to be cheaper to run than an electric boiler in the 90%efficiency range

I've just read... "Labour peer & businessman Lord Willie Haughey, whose company is one of Scotland's leading suppliers of #heatpump , told BBC Radio's Good Morning Scotland ... electric boilers would be more cost-effective & environmentally-friendly options for most Scottish homes." I've no idea what company this man runs, but the physics of what he says is complete nonsense! Direct electric heating cannot be more efficient than a heat pump! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-66372469 #climatechange
Are Scotland's heat pump plans threatening to boil over?

Green minister Patrick Harvie is championing plans to cut emissions from heating homes but will it provoke a backlash?

@magnatom see here for microbore and hydrogen misinformation in the article as well:

Attached: 1 image @[email protected] lots of inaccurate statements in this article. It’s misinformation. E.g. 1. microbore pipework - not ideal, but running 2nd pump for the microbore circuit will work, albeit lowering the efficiency of the #HeatPump (higher flow temp needed) 2. Hydrogen won’t be used as not economically feasible (needs ~5-6 x renewable electricity generation to generate green hydrogen), extremely hard to transport (leaks due to small size), and requires ventilation in each room!
