Ah! Alan Byer wrote an article about the train (and its West Virginia predecessor) for Classic Trains in the Winter 2017 issue. I'd tagged it years ago and Zotero but probably never read it at the time.

Byer, Alan. “1 Train 2 Centennials.” Classic Trains 18, no. 4 (Winter 2017): 58–65.

The Piazza San Marco in Venice. The Basilica is on the left; the bell tower on the right. The pigeons are everywhere.

I went on a high school exchange to Graz, Austria, in 1999. We were there a few weeks, including a few days in Italy. Went down via Villach and came back for some reason via Lake Garda. I don't have contemporary notes so identifying the scanned negatives is a chore.

Here's someone from my class (I have a few guesses) climbing a tree in view of Lake Garda, at the north end.

Went down to New Hope for the first time today. It's touristy, but there are some fun things. MagiKava (https://www.magikava.com) is an instant recommend for tea and/or witchcraft.

I took a few photos, and I'm really pleased with how this one came out of the Bucks County Playhouse. It's in an old mill on Aquetong Creek, and I didn't realize until now how clear the reflection is.

Still working on my Japan photos from 2000. My host family arranged an overnight trip to Kyoto. Here's Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion).

I was in #Okaya, #Japan, in 2000 for a high school exchange. At one point we visited a construction site for a highway tunnel. I *think* this is now part of National Route 20, but I haven't been able to identify it. The poster describes the "Osachi-Tunnel" but that hasn't helped much, except that Osachi is a district on the north side of Okaya.

Scans from 35 mm negatives.

A couple weekends ago I went out with some friends to Ringing Rocks County Park in Bucks County. Probably one of the few county parks that encourages you to bring a hammer, because it has boulder fields full of lithophonic rocks, which resonate when struck. One of my friends moonlights as a singer-songwriter and I swear he was composing a song based on the rock tonalities.

Last leg, aside from another walk: Indian Trails from Lansing to Mt. Pleasant. I've been in the CATA Transportation Center before but I have a renewed appreciation for it. Drinking fountain, seats, restrooms, air conditioning, vending machines.
Spending the layover in Lansing at a Lugnuts game. Surprisingly, I've never been to a game here before.
Lovely day on Michigan State's campus. This is the Red Cedar River.
