i got feedback from singing teacher. he said i have a fast vibrato like matt bellamy hyELL HYEA. also says my voice is kind of like brian molko's in tone. which i can hear - i just can't sing that high (yet!). we established that i do in fact have the full range in interpol-lights. i'll record myself singing it at some point

i mostly talk high to women to make myself appear non threatening which is where that high female range is used, but it's only ended up in me being misgendered a lot and that's getting increasingly more unsafe, so trying to clamp down on my talking voice range bc im sick of thisssss

(i got in trouble at school by women teachers who would assert that i was giving them shit when no, i was just talking to them like a dude, IN MY NATURAL VOICE, which is offensive to them bc its unladylike, and bc they didnt want to feel like a man was insulting them. so i have hangups over this)

my talking voice range vs my singing voice range lol
hopefully enough tim,e has passed since getting the bone marrow biopsy bc i want to have a bath. bone broth bath. brath

did first singing lesson and yeah im a baritone
we did some voice exercises that made me realise i talk high mainly because my vocal chords are constantly tense. the exercise we did was to increase my range downwards, and the tenseness in throat i felt but didnt know i felt is gonezo
