I don't know if this is discussed much, but when a baby is named with a unique spelling of their name, it makes them that much easier to find on the Internet for the rest of their life. Do people think of these things? I know unique spellings and edgy and mostly prideful for the parents, but tagging them kid with an extra 'marker' for their life just seems like an odd choice to me. Give them an AI driven toy and you're just bringing on the dystopia faster.
With all this interest in my profile from eastern women, does that mean I qualify for 'straight acting'?

Apparently the profile phrase of engagement from the bots is: "chasing sunshine and good vibes". So many profiles on IG named things like "WeeWeeGee" or "Susanna Henry Honk" that are chasing sunshine and good vibes.

May your bits and bytes find the good vibes.

I was playing around with a piece of retro tech (a master clock) and I inadvertently turned off the Ethernet port via the built in web portal. Now, the only way to turn on the Ethernet port is through a five digit passcode entered through a keypad on the device. I decompiled the firmware but no joy in a simple passocde. So now, I continue to ponder this issue.
And, FWIW, the MacBook Neo is not designed to do everything a MacBook Pro can do. The two laptops are aimed at different markets and spec'd accordingly. If my parents were still alive, I'd absolutely be getting them each a Neo.
I continue to be very impressed by the performance of Apple Silicon. The MacBook Neo, especially at that price point, truly is a game changer for the market. On the bright side, there's plenty of open source tools, package managers, etc. that work just fine on macOS. And with UNIX underpinings, it's mostly comfortable for those of us that use Linux and grew up on UNIX.
I am very intrigued by the Earthship homes.
I didn't realize the Doomsday Clock had been moved closer to midnight than ever before earlier this year. I guess folks might not want to talk about the Doomsday Clock, as it will distract from the bread and circuses of 2026?
I'd be really happy if so many U.S. citizens didn't require senility as a requirement for the person in the Oval Office. Thanks.
