@paul yeah, I have *two* accounts with them (personal and IRA) so it wouldn't let me vote them, kept saying the proxy ids were invalid, so that was fun. Got emails, texts, calls, and snail mail every day until it got sorted out.
@paul QQQ?

@jwz We did this at Facebook when we first moved into the MPK campus. It's been replaced by solar panels but you can still see it from the old google satellite views. It was visible from planes getting ready to land at SFO.

Facebook Decorates Its Roof With A 42-Foot Wide QR Code | TechCrunch

When Mark Zuckerberg called for a "Space Hackathon" to decorate Facebook's massive new headquarters at 1 Hacker Way, he probably didn't expect employees to take him so literally. A few scurried up to the roof with some tar paint, and now there's a 42-foot wide QR code on the roof that's visible from space. Scanning it opens the new FB QR Code Page on Facebook which may host puzzles, jokes, and other flavor to humanize the company. For now you'll need an airplane or Facebook security badge to get a look at it first-hand, but once indexed it should appear on your favorite satellite mapping website.

@jay from a few weeks ago... enjoy your trip, Alaska is amazing.
@thinkingfish I was a regular at the Cole Fox on 4th St when I lived in SF. Crazy how much they pack into such a small space but yet the employees know where everything is!
@n8foo I feel you. This was me a few months ago, grabbing some wood off the pile for the fire pit, unaware that some hornets decided to take up residence there.
@jay looks identical to the wheel on my 2024 Atlas, which works great.
@tcook same but also "I'm going to start a few projects around the house, get distracted by said child, and not finish any of them." I did finally get an old sconce replaced with a ring floodlight after destroying a dremel bit and a few Home Depot runs, so there's that.

signed up for my first in-person 5k race since 2019... really slow these days but this one's fun and a fast, flat course.

@tcook Have you looked at the VW id.4? I keep getting commercials for them, and then saw two on the road yesterday and they're bigger than I expected (SUV size not crossover).
