European alternative to Teams and Zoom

I use MS Teams for online courses for something like 10-20 people. I find it pretty slow and clunky to change settings and it is painfully obvious that it was made for large businesses and not for my case. Beside that, it is Microsoft and American. What are the best European alternatives for what I use it for? I’d love to self-host, but I find VPS with the specs required to be too expensive for me atm.
It did take Germany losing the war and being forced a democratic constitution and systematic anti-nazi campaigning for them to overcome it though.
Russia still denies they ever did anything bad against… Anyone, basically. That could happen to the US as well if they don’t actually reach the bottom first.
China likely wants the soft power that the US is flushing down the toilet as we speak first and foremost. As long as we let China abuse minorities, as long as we don’t talk about human rights and as long as we never ever mention the Tiananmen square massacre…They will probably leave us alone.
Question is… Do we want it that way?
The thing with drones is that people are willing to take basically any risk with them, since you are so far away from the action yourself.
I mean that’s kinda the point though. The story is really trying to tell you that “this was not just any child, even though he was born by a poor family”.
