I argue that they have effectively already done that by making Democratic votes meaningless in the Senate through filibuster, the House through gerrymandering, all protected by a packed SCOTUS. And we are a few state elections away from their total control by fiat of the Electoral College. They aren't smart or efficient, but they have infinite money, often from taxpayers.

That’s the whole trouble. You can’t ever find a place that’s nice and peaceful, because there isn’t any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you’re not looking, somebody’ll sneak up and write “Fuck you” right under your nose.

I am so goddamn frustrated by the fact high school students barely learn how to use citations in their writing. If they do learn, it's MLA or some watered-down version thereof— and then when these kids get to college and are taking upper division classes that require APA (or Chicago, god bless them) they are absolutely lost. It's not their fault, but the whole situation is just so exasperating.
