Worth it to dive into clone wars (movie, series and game) for lore? - sh.itjust.works
My star wars interest has awakened again with andor, and ive so far tortured
myself through jar jar binks in episodes 1 and 2 to refresh the lore on
palpatines rise to power and transformation from the republic to the empire. I
am considering jumping into the clone wars before moving into episode 3. Both
movie, series and the ps2-era game. Are they worth it from a lore perspective?

Looking for user created Mass effect video from 2007 - sh.itjust.works
Oh boy this is a long shot but here goes: back in 2007 when mass effect came out
i watched a user made video on gametrailers.com [http://gametrailers.com] from
the game which ended up being tge deciding factor in buying it. It was called (i
think) just “planet” and featured mako driving on a red planet set to the track
adiemus by karl jenkins (or perhaps credited as the adiemus project or just
adiemus). I wanna get my nostalgia fix but i have never been able to find it
again. So… does anyone know how to find it? 🫠
Xenia on Linux? - sh.itjust.works
Anyone got xenia working on linux? If so what strategy did you use? I can get
the og version of xenia “working” with bottles, but it runs really poorly. Xenia
canary does not work (just hangs with black screen and grey menu options for a
couple of secs before crashing).
Backup of installed flatpaks? - sh.itjust.works
I have a couple of flatpaks installed that are no longer available on flathub,
and i want to make sure to back them up so that i can run them later if i
install a fresh distro for example. Is it as simple as copying the application
folder from ~/.local/share/flatpak and adding it there later? Does that include
dependencies as well?
Storing videos from online courses (e.g. Zenva) locally?

Storing videos from online courses (e.g. Zenva) locally? - sh.itjust.works
I got some courses on zenva and gamedev.tv [http://gamedev.tv] thru a humble
bundle some time back and would like to store the videos from these courses
locally. “Save video as” is greyed out, but is there a common technique to
download such content despite this?
Where to start? - sh.itjust.works
I want to get into the Star Trek universe but dont know where to start. I have
previously seen first three seasons of Disocvery and first season of picard.
Picard was cool but disocvery didnt quite track, a little boring and not
adventure focused enough. However loving lower decks now (just started season 4)
and want to get into the more canon stuff. I have access to TNG, DS9, Voyager,
Enterprise and SNW. TOS i could probanly get access to if i want, but gotta
admit that is not very enticing. So where to start? TNG? If it helps (and i dont
get shunned for this), i am a stargate guy and love especially sg-1 and the
adventure of the week format and the character ensemble
Backing up my media collection on something like rsync.net?

Backing up my media collection on something like rsync.net? - sh.itjust.works
I have a couple of local copies of my media collection, but in case of my house
burning down in a fire i would like to not have to rebuild my entire media
collection. rsync.net [http://rsync.net] offers some fairly reasonable storage
prices (i guess there are many other good options as well). Would you guys have
any second thoughts on storing the entirety of your media collection on a remote
server like that unencrypted?
Stylus for Surface Duo? - sh.itjust.works
I just bought a second-hand surface duo running android for the sole purpose of
emulating nintendo ds. I want a stylus to emulate that part of the experience,
but all styluses are a lot more expensive than i anticipated. But they seem to
include stuff i really dont need such as bluetooth connectivity and such like.
Can i just get any pointy plastic thing to use as a stylus or do i need one of
these that connect to the phone?
Safe DraStic .apk download? - sh.itjust.works
I recently got a used surface duo for the sole purpose of emulating nintendo ds
and 3ds. I have retroarch running with Desmume but as far as i understand,
drastic offers better performance on android. I know i can get it on the play
store (for now at least), but i dont have a google account (and i will not sign
up for one). I can see that there are many sites offering downloads of an .apk,
but they all seem pretty shady to me. What would be the best way to get a
malware-free .apk for drastic? Am i better of waiting for it to go open source
and build it myself?
Leakage of data from Smart-TV jellyfin apps?

Leakage of data from Smart-TV jellyfin apps? - sh.itjust.works
This is maybe a little paranoid but… i have a jellyfin server that i let some
family members use. one of them intends to use an app for apple tv, which i
think is swiftfin or something like that. i am a bit skeptical about smart-TVs
and the data they phone home with, so i was wondering if there is any chance
that i could be compromised due to the linux isos i host on jellyfin due to some
sneaky smart-TV stuff?
