What's the Western 'Journey to the West?'
Seems like Journey to the West is referenced and copied so much in Eastern cultures without any fear of it getting old or going stale. Is there something similar for Westerners? Is there some Shakespearean story we keep re-imagining again and again without shame?
It’s a two-pronged strategy.
The lesser-evil candidates piggyback on the greater-evil ones by saying “Hey, at least we’re not as bad as that guy!”
It’s super effective against useful idiots.
Because it makes zero sense.
Translation: They can’t make an egregious amount of profit off of everyone else’s hard work.
Nuclear energy isn’t as profitable as oil, but that doesn’t mean it’s not economically viable.
Business owners will simply have to make less profit, which is fine. There are plenty of people who work harder than them for less.
Good!
Artificial scarcity was always dumb as fuck.
Sad watching useful idiots living vicariously through business leaders.
Goes hand in hand with: “It’s easier to fool a man than to convince him he’d been fooled.” - Mark Twain
The powers that b know how to take advantage of human psychology. They have people working around the clock figuring out ways to further exploit it.
Imagine all the houses we could build with the money we spend on bombs.
The housing crisis could’ve been solved several times over.
Useful idiots keep shouting “she’s too young” while voting for dinosaurs.
Really puts into perspective how ‘smart’ the average voter is.
Citizens United was such a misstep, because most people can’t think for themselves and their votes can be bought by convincing them that voting for X will make them look good in front of their peers.
