@jmi @GPGTools yeah i also have to take that back. I had my own framework loaded in Mail which patches Apple’s bugs, that’s why it worked so reliably. Really Hope they make progress in 14.4

@jmi @GPGTools The first beta of 14.4 finally includes a fix for the decoding issues. From some preliminary testing it appears to work pretty reliably now.

@jmi @GPGTools Yeah, that’s quite the shit show. Basically, Mail tries to connect to the extension, but it it fails once, it never tries again. So it’s a complete gamble, whether it will work or not and depends on, whether the extension can be launched quickly enough (before the timeout hits, which is 1 second) or not. The extension itself however launches reliably. But since Mail doesn’t try to connect to it again after the first failure, it doesn’t know that.

@andrewg @GPGTools Yeah, that’s one of the most frustrating issues. The API would even partially exist for it, but… it’s not properly implemented… All we can do is wait.

@jmi @GPGTools Unfortunately it appears that the fix has been reverted. We hope it’s again included in the next betas. So for now the only option is to disable GPG Mail via `System Settings > Privacy > Extensions > Added Extensions`
