Principal Designer at Netflix, focusing on design systems, strategy, and architecture.

I’m not necessarily an expert, but I have enough interests and curiosity for three lifetimes: quantum physics, circadian rhythm, time perception, systems theory, simulation theory, stoicism, cybernetics, neo-riemannian theory, retrogaming and computing, free climbing, audiophile equipment, wyckoff method, order flow analysis, and 50s/60s swiss design.

I haven’t been to the movie theater in… Half a decade? And by myself? Probably… More than a decade! I’m in LA for an offsite and thought of going to watch “Civil War”. I hope it won’t disappoint! 🍿🎥 BTW, American movie theaters are very, very different than Italian ones haha Much better!!
@matt The real challenge is also how nothing will ever be right. Imagine the reactions to the exact opposite review: people would’ve complained about that too. 🤣

⚠️ Looks like Sonoma's new annoying emoji popup interstitial is enabled by feature flag! Which means you can nuke it from orbit (it's the only way to be sure). Reboot after:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist emoji_enhancements -dict-add Enabled -bool NO

It’s the most complex book I’ve ever read. So complex that, at some point, I had to restart by reading it in Italian. I also supported myself with the helpful notes and illustrations the author published on his website.

The first chapter “Orphanogenesis” is great to understand if this book and its writing style is for you: it’s entirely focused on the creation of a digital life form and the developing of its autogenous consciousness.

Last night I finished reading Diaspora (1997), by Greg Egan; an intellectually challenging, hard science fiction book in which humanity has evolved into digital consciousness and migrates across multi-dimensional universes. A masterpiece!

"We have the $270 Brother MFC-L2750DW, which adds a sheet-fed scanner, because my wife is a lawyer and scans things for judges or whatever she does with it. It doesn’t matter."

this is probably the best article i've ever read on the verge

Best printer 2023: just buy this Brother laser printer everyone has, it’s fine

The best printer to buy is the one that works without you needing to think about it or subscribe to some nonsense ink refill thing. For most people, that’s the Brother HL-L2305W or something like the MFC-L2750DW that adds a scanner.

I just returned from a 20-mile ride with my Eclipse P20. I had a few headaches with this foldable bike initially, but it’s now working well! 🚴
