Lots of talk of twitter possibly shutting down as early as tonight & people saying "Elon Musk could have ended world poverty and hunger but he spent $44b to wreck twitter". The worst thing would not be the loss of ability to communicate 1-to-1, but the communities that have been formed. I'm still not quite sure how Mastodon works - what is "local timeline" and "federated timeline"? Both seem spammy and random - local seems to be people just on my server, but federated is what? Everyone ever?!

Finally an interesting & exciting #F1 race. Very pleased for George Russell who is one of my favourite drivers. Shame that after everything Perez has done for Verstappen that he refused to return the favour by letting Perez back past to help him get 2nd in the championship & saying he will refuse in future. Just proves what a pathetic spoilt child he is. Absolutely no class about him - Perez must be absolutely furious, but I'm sure he already knew what Verstappen was like.
