Very good news indeed! The global IP regime around seeds is pretty bad, but this is not affecting that. It's about even worse restrictions in Kenya specifically.
Not to rain too hard on your poetic license, but Fjarðardalur in typical literal Icelandic fashion simply means Fjord Valley. Fjörður=fjord, while Fjöður=feather and it would have to be Fjaðrardalur. And it isn't.
But it sure is pretty 😎
