I have been searching and looking forever to figure out how to hide boosts and replies and it's been sitting in the little up-caret down-caret thingie in the browser all this time? And no one on reddit ever mentioned it when people asked for that very feature?! (Thanks, @mrcopilot )

@mrcopilot thanks! I also found that using Ice Cube on my phone lets me see just original toots!

The Ice Cubes app on ios does this and it’s pretty easy to switch filters and accounts! Now to find a desktop solution!!

@evedazzle @404mediaco This is so frustrating. I personally know librarians and library researchers who have been doing this work for decades. I wonder if they reached out to any of them or if they're passively waiting for the info to fall in their laps.

I don't understand why Mastodon doesn't seem to have a way to see just original toots from people I follow.

I think this is the number one reason I haven't used it a lot since starting this account three years ago.

I do like to see boost and replies, but sometimes I'm short on time and just want to see what the people I follow are saying.

@ChrisPirillo I love the way elk.zone switches profiles... just click the profile pic! But I don't think it has the rest of the really great management and scheduling TweetDeck had. (Yet? Might be something on the horizon?)
