Today was part of the risk in the risk/reward of flying CHO… Delta flight delayed due to a cigarette lighter error in the cockpit. No way to make my connection (once a day flight from Atlanta to Cabo) so we had to cancel and rebook on United out of DCA. Pro tip— don’t drive to IAD when your ticket is for DCA… we made it to our gate right at boarding time! (BTW.. work paid for all of this, I would never be able to afford cancellation and rebooking another airline)

Sometimes in the morning when the sun first appears, it lights up the hills and the trees look like their on fire. It was starting this morning so i grabbed my coat and boots. By the time i got outside it was raining, cloudy, and no fire mountains. :(

I received two unfortunate pieces of news this week. I live in rural NW Albemarle with no true high-speed internet options. I have to rent office space in town (with Comcast) for work. I recently got news from REC our planned Spring 2023 fiber access is pushed to the Fall. Then Starlink sent this today. We got access to Starlink “best effort” last November. I now have to pay $120 for service that usually has to buffer if I try to stream movies at night.

As one who flies from

Both of my AHS seniors have picked their schools! It will be weird only having one kid at home next year.
